What Does the Appendix Do?
Appendix is nothing but a useless part of the body.It is a small tube which is in the form of worm.Appendix is found near the large intestine with one end open in the intestine and other end is closed.
The use of appendix is nothing in the body.The food we eat is digested with the help of large intestine.The food that comes into the appendix is squeezed out.Sometimes when food enters the appendix got struck in it and causes inflammation and sore in it.It causes stomach pain.When we youch the stomach then we feel the pain.Sometimes the pain is temporary and vanishes quickly.Sometimes the dieing pain is there and there is need for a doctor.The doctor might take the bloood samples for examination in the laboratory.When the doctor finds that the white cells are in excess that normally present in thye body then it is said that the person is having appendix.
Sometimes appendix is treated by operation.But the operation is minor and can be healed in just few days.It is very necessary to remove the useless appendix before it gets burst and causes infection in the stomach.The operation of appendix is called appendicitis.
